IDA BRAVO OLIVAREZ

MISSION - Ida Bravo Olivarez, 58, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.

Born in McAllen, Ida had lived in Mission for the past 35 years. She had a joy for kids, she cared for them as if they were her own. Her grandchildren were the loves of her life and she lived for her family. Ida was very patient and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who crossed her path. She will be missed but never forgotten.

She is preceded in by her mother, Esperanza Bravo; a brother, David Bravo; and father-in-law, Enrique Olivarez.

Mrs. Olivarez is survived by her husband, Alvaro Olivarez of Mission; three children, Anyssa (Delyle) Woods, Ramsey (Rebecca) Olivarez, both of McAllen and Alexis Olivarez of Mission; two grandchildren, Jackson Olivarez and Savanna Woods; her father, Jose (Maria Elena) Bravo of San Juan; two sisters, Raquel (Stephen Scarvelis) Bravo of Toledo, Ohio, Mary Ann Medina of Mission; a brother, Gavino (Jesenia) Bravo of McAllen; and her best friend, Romelia Vigil of McAllen.


Visitation will be from 5 pm to 9 pm with a 7 pm prayer service, today, March 8, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Monday, March 9, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.

Pallbearers will be David Bravo, Christopher Bravo, Robert Bravo, David Muniz, Ramiro Hinojosa and David Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Del Bosque, Troy Del Bosque and Gavino Bravo.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
