Olivia Amaro

EDINBURG – Olivia Amaro, 70, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at her residence in Edinburg. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo Sanchez and Santos Cerda; sisters, Anita, Maria Elena Sanchez Martinez; and a brother, Domingo Sanchez.

Mrs. Amaro is survived by her husband, Ramiro Amaro Vazquez; three children, Diena (Ruben Vidaurri) Salinas, Yvonne (Hector De Leon) De Leon, Rosendo Martinez; six grandchildren, Kimberly, Devin, Angelo, Aitza, Erik, Yaritzi; a great-granddaughter, Destiny; six siblings, Juan Sanchez, Lorenzo Sanchez, Pedro Sanchez, Antonia Sanchez, Maria Del Carmen Ramirez, and Carlos Sanchez.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
