BEATRIZ B. ORTIZ
EDINBURG – Beatriz B. Ortiz, 81, died Saturday, September 18, 2010, at her residence in Edinburg.
Mrs. Ortiz was born in Orange Grove, Texas and had lived in Edinburg all of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Santos G. Ortiz Sr., a brother, two sisters, and a daughter.
Mrs. Ortiz is survived by six children, Beatrice (Hector) Sepeda, of San Antonio, Texas, Santos (Tina) Ortiz Jr., of Kerrville, Texas, Ricardo B. Ortiz, Oscar E. Ortiz, Belinda Lanfranco, all of Edinburg, Ronaldo (Juanita) Ortiz, of La Feria; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Jesusa Davila, of Edinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service today, September 20, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 9 am Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
