EDINBURG - Reymundo Ortiz, Jr., 55, went home to our Lord at 6:55 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, at his residence in Edinburg.
Mr. Ortiz was born in Edinburg and lived there most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his father, Reymundo Ortiz, Sr.; two sons, Reymundo Ortiz, Jr., Rene R. Ortiz; and a granddaughter, Alyssa Faith Ortiz.
Reymundo is survived by his loving wife, Elia Ortiz of Edinburg; four sons, Raymundo Ortiz, Jr. of San Antonio, Michael Eric Ortiz of Edinburg; Rudy Ortiz of San Antonio; Carlos N. Ortiz of Edinburg; two daughters, Brenda Lizette Ortiz of Edinburg, Jennifer Marie Ortiz of Louisiana; 14 grandchildren; his mother, Maria Teresa Ortiz of Edinburg; seven siblings, Roberto Ortiz of Ohio, Nicolas Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, Rosalinda Ortiz, Jenetta Ortiz, all of Edinburg, Carlos Ortiz of Houston and Gilberto Ortiz of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, July 23, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
