MONTGOMERY, TEXAS – Maria Concepsion “Connie” Ortiz, 56, died, Friday, March 16, 2012, at McAllen Medical Center.
Mrs. Ortiz was born in Edinburg, Texas. She was raised in Pharr and lived in Montgomery, Texas for the past 25 years.
Connie is survived by her husband, Gilbert Ortiz, of Montgomery, Texas; a daughter, Maribel Diane (Ed) Smith, of Willis, Texas; two grandchildren, Robert Ortiz of Montgomery, Texas, Ashley Smith, of Willis, Texas; parents, Domingo Villarreal of Alamo, and Lily Villarreal of Edinburg; three brothers, Domingo (Maria Luisa) Villarreal, of Edinburg, Felix (Mariana) Villarreal, of San Juan, Gustavo (Eliza) Villarreal of Edinburg; two sisters, Lily Espericueta, of Pharr, Audelia Arevalo, of Edinburg; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, March 18, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Cremation will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
