PHARR- Oscar Capetillo, 83, died Thursday, January 18, 2024, at The Heights in Alamo.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Nemecio and Maria Francisca Capetillo; his wife, Paulita L. Capetillo; and his brother, Osiel Capetillo.
Mr. Capetillo is survived by his five children; Roxanna C. (Ricardo) De Leon, Oziel (Patricia) Capetillo, Roldan (Virginia) Capetillo, Michael (Esmeralda) Capetillo, Oscar (Anna) Capetillo; 16 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three siblings, Homero (Adelaida) Capetillo, Carlota (+Uvaldo) Chavez and Carolina (Tomas) Soto.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m., with a 6:30 p.m. Rosary Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2024, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
