EDINBURG — Gilberto J. Ozuna, Sr., 67, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Mr. Ozuna was born in Edinburg and had lived there most of his life. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his father, Eutiquio Ozuna.
Mr. Ozuna is survived by his wife, Angelina Ozuna of Edinburg; three children, Gilbert J. (Sylvia) Ozuna, Jr. of Alice, Texas, Eloy G. (Cynthia) Ozuna and Roxanne Ozuna both of Edinburg; six grandchildren, Eloy Gaston, Mariah and Madyson Ozuna, all of Edinburg, Samantha, Sabrina, Gilbert J. Ozuna III all of Alice, Texas; his mother, Magarita Ozuna of Edinburg; three brothers, Jose Oscar Ozuna and Noe Ozuna both of Edinburg, and Rene Ozuna of San Marcos, Texas; five sisters, Maria Guadalupe Arevallo, Olga Enriguez and Diana Garza all of Edinburg, Dora Ozuna of San Antonio, Texas and Hilda Garcia of South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 10, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, with military honors.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
