GUADALUPE "LUPITA" PALACIOS
MCALLEN- Guadalupe "Lupita" Palacios, 85, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2016, at her residence in McAllen.
Lupita was a family oriented godly woman who dedicated her life to her parents, husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She worked in agriculture, was a seamstress and did anything that could provide for her family. Guadalupe never asked for anything and always thanked God for everything she had. Her faith was very strong and she prayed every night as her calling was being a true prayer warrior. Holidays were always spent at her home, cooking meals for everyone. She loved to see all of her family gathered, smiling and making memories. Lupita's warmth, character, and devotion will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alberto Palacios; and a son, Roberto Palacios.
Mrs. Palacios is survived by four chidlren, Maria Elena Palacios, Rudy (Elsa) Palacios, both of Edinburg, Hermelinda (Jesus) Trevino of McAllen, Rosalinda (Albert) Garcia of Ohio; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Friday, April 1, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
