PHARR - Santiago Palacios, 97, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Colonial Manor in Phar.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Hinojosa Palacios; and a son, Jose Luis Palacios.
Mr. Palacios is survived by his children, Irma (George) Trevino of San Juan, Rosa (Francisco) Salazar of San Benito, Rolando (Sonia) Palacios of Edinburg, Blanca Alicia Palacios of San Juan, Arnoldo (Mary) Palacios of McAllen; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lupita Palacios Martinez.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2021, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
