Patricia Ann LaPoint

On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, Patricia Ann Landig LaPoint, long time resident of Edinburg, passed away after a brief illness.
Born in Houston, Texas, she was 80 years old when she passed. She graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Houston. In midlife she left her job and proudly returned to school to complete both her undergraduate and master's degrees at the University of Houston, Clear Lake. She later retired from University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) after working for many years with (UTMB) on the Lopez and Segovia Units of TDCJ. A lifelong Texan, she lived in Houston, rural East Texas, Wharton, Kenedy and finally the RGV. She was an avid cat lover and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived and grieved by her son David, brother Del, sister Suzanne, nephew Lloyd (wife Ida), and niece Lisa. She is also sadly missed by her many friends in the RGV, Wharton, and of course, her furry dependents.
Please come join us in celebrating her life on her birthday, at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in the upstairs room of 492 Bar-B-Que, 1703 W. Trenton Rd. Food will be shared as we tell stories and remember our dear Pat.

Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
