GENOVEVA PEÑA
EDINBURG – Genoveva Peña, 40, beloved sister, aunt and friend, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016, at McAllen Heart Hospital. She devoted her life to caring for others as a nurse assistant and massage therapist. In addition, she was pursuing her life-long dream of becoming a nurse through her studies at STC.
She is survived by her parents, Roberto and Maria T. Peña; a brother, Roberto (Denise) Peña, Jr.; three sisters, Hilda (Oscar) Villarreal, Nelda (Luis) Landeros, Anabelle (Clark) Covey; and her beloved niece and nephews whom she adored.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9, with a 7 p.m. memorial service Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Donate Life Texas, donatelife.org or to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
