EDINBURG - Clemencia G. Pena, 84, died Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in La Casita, TX, Mrs. Pena had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Clemencia was the most kind-hearted person and loving soul. She always spent her time taking care of others before herself. The most giving person you could ever meet. A family's rock does not give justice of how much she meant to the family. She was the center of everyone's world and that is exactly where she will stay.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Pena; her parents, Aparicio and Matilde Garcia; a brother, Miguel Garcia; and two sisters, Beatrice Luera and Aurora Ozuna.
Clemencia is survived by five children, Jose (Maria) Pena of Edinburg, Jose Luis (Olga) Pena of Richmond, Tomasita Pena, Esmeralda (Enrique) Trevino, Martin (Hilda) Pena, all of Edinburg; eight grandchildren, Norma, Marsha, Christina, Monica, Joe Lewis, Christopher, Michael, Candice; nine great-grandchildren, Seryna, Ethan, Jordan, Olivia, Victoria, Esteban, Isabella, Julian, Jocelyn; and a sister, Consuelo Rodriguez of San Antonio.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, September 27, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
