GUADALUPE PENA
EDINBURG – Guadalupe Pena, 91, went home to our Lord Thursday, February 28, 2019, at his residence in Edinburg.
He was born and lived most of his life in Rio Grande City.
Mr. Pena is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Rita Pena; and a brother, Leandro Pena.
He is survived by his two loving daughters, Elva (Pablo) Salinas of Bedford, TX, and Rebecca (Emiliano) Ybarra of Edinburg; five grandchildren, Juan (Ingrid) Renteria, Rebecca (Rigo) Leal, Marisela Ybarra, Aracely (Rafael) Flores, Roberto Renteria; six great-grandchildren, Rebecca Adalee Castro, Rebeka Lee Renteria, Giovanna Raven Leal, Dorian Leal, Nicole Esperanza Renteria, Julian Guadalupe Renteria; three sisters, Dora Olivarez, Anita Vela, Dalia Lopez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, March 1, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Pharr.
