McALLEN - Juana G. Pena, 85, died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Born in Milpas, N.L., Mexico, Mrs. Pena had lived in McAllen for 40 years.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Alma Delia Dominguez; and her parents, Francisco and Anita Garza.
Mrs. Pena is survived by her husband, Rodolfo Pena of McAllen; seven children, Velia (Rito) Hernandez of Saltillo, Coah., Mexico, Rodolfo Pena, Jr. of Brownsville, Alvaro (Nellie) Pena, Blanca Pena, both of McAllen, Juan (Maria O.) Pena, Miguel Pena, both of Mission and Maribel (Agustin) Padron of San Juan; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jose Garza of McAllen; and two sisters, Marina Montanez and Ernestina Gonzalez, both of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico.
A rosary was held August 16, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am, today, August 17, 2010 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
