YOLANDA ALVAREZ PENA EDINBURG — Yolanda Alvarez Pena, 66, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Pena was born in Edinburg where she lived most of her life, and was formerly of Delmita, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marcos Pena, Jr.; a step-son, Ovidio Pena; her parents, Rafael and Anita Alvarez; and three siblings, Baltazar Alvarez, Norberta De Leon, Guadalupe Cornejo. Yolanda is survived by her son, Marcos Pena, III (Clarissa Rivas), a granddaughter, Victoria Pena; three siblings, Maria (Feliciano) Chavez, Santiago (Dahlia) Alvarez, Juan (Olivia) Alvarez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, February 6, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
