FRANCISCO PERALEZ
PHARR – Francisco Peralez, 71, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at his residence in Pharr.
Mr. Peralez was born in Pharr and lived there most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Geronimo and Simona Peralez; a sister, Daria Peralez.
Mr. Peralez is survived by his wife, Maria Elida Peralez, of Pharr; three children, Norma Linda Peralez Garza, of Mission, Francisco Elias (Becky) Peralez, of McAllen, Elizabeth (Antonio Jr.) Pecina, of Edinburg; four grandchildren, Samantha Lizette Pecina, Jessica Marie Garza, Katarina Lanae Peralez, Gabriela Renae Peralez; two sisters, Mary Garcia, of McAllen, Melinda (Alonzo) Lopez, of Pharr; and a brother, Ricardo Peralez, of Pharr.
Mr. Peralez owned and operated a specialty speed shop, Peralez Auto and Chassis Works. He was very well known for his ability to make the impossible possible. He was an avid risk taker, who loved sky diving and drag racing, anything with speed. Mr. Peralez loved using his hands to build and repair anything from high performance engines, race cars and model planes. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and most of all spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughters and loving wife.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2011, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2011, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Pharr . Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
