Amparo D. Perez

Amparo D. Perez, 82, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Abri of Edinburg.
Amparo loved her family immensely and found joy in caring for them by cooking their favorite meals and sharing conversation. Her greatest gifts were her enveloping love and kindness. She was a beautiful role model to her admiring family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Leopoldo and Maria de Jesus Dominguez; granddaughter, Cassie Martinez; son-in-law, David Silva; four siblings, Maria Dominguez Davila, Eva Arredondo, Jose Dominguez, and Leonel Dominguez.
Amparo is survived by her husband, Jose Victor Perez; seven children, Sylvia Silva, Noemi (Bertaldo) Diaz, Lydia (Joe) Touchet, Diana (Henry) Rivera, Victoria (Marcos) Martinez, Jose Victor (Cris) Perez Jr., Delia (Juan) Ozuna; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Isabel (Ray Dell) McClaugherty; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary today, January 31, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg on Monday, February 1, 2021. Interment will follow at Hargill Cemetery.
