ARNOLDO PEREZ, SR.
EDINBURG - Arnoldo Perez, Sr., 78, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at his residence in Edinburg.
Our devoted husband, father, and grandfather was called away to the heavens, to continue spreading his love alongside our dear sweet Jesus. Arnold was a firm believer in fighting for life. Not once did he give up his fight with cancer, over the period of two years. His concern through all of this was to try to ease his family's struggle and make things easier for them. Arnoldo's first passion was his family and second, was for his work in the truck driving industry for 48 years up until he fell ill. He loved the road and he loved his co-workers as his second family. The road has not come to an end. The road will now take him to a better place, where he will wait for us.
Mr. Perez is preceded in death by his adored grandson, Sean Jay Perez; parents, Severo and Matiana Perez; two bothers, Joe G. Perez and Humberto Perez; two sisters, Dora Gilliland and Norma Linda Larralde; and in-law, Antonio Hernandez.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Virginia Robles Perez; four sons, Arnoldo (Dee) Perez, Jr., Aaron Ronald Perez, Ahren Donald Perez, and Joe Gilbert (Cris) Perez; two daughters, Mary Nell (Wright) Perez-Denison and Ruby Ann Perez-Martinez; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; three siblings, Baudie Hernandez, Francis (Robert) Leija, Olivia Perez; in-laws, Noe Larralde and Ana Perez; numerous nieces and nephews.
