Born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and lived in Edinburg most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Marcelina Mena.
Jose is survived by his wife, Esmeralda Faudoa De Perez; three children, Dayana Perez, Yesenia Perez, Jose Angel Perez; his father, Gonzalo Perez; and seven siblings.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, August 19, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon August 20, 2016, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
