PHARR - Jose Perez, 82, died Thursday, July 1, 2010 at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Mexico, Mr. Perez had lived in Pharr most of his life and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pharr.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cayetano and Mercedes Perez; and six brothers.
Mr. Perez is survived by his wife, Angela Perez of Pharr; six children, Jose (Linda) Perez, Jr., Gerardo (Janie) Perez, both of Pharr, Alfonso (Maria Elena) Perez of San Juan, Estella (Francisco) Ramos of Needville, Texas, Aurelia E. (Gerardo) Garcia of Reynosa, Tamps., Mexico and Roel (Cindy) Perez of Harlingen; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Soledad Perez of Reynosa, Tamps., Mexico.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, today, July 4, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 11 am, Monday, July 5, 2010 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
