LEONILA PEREZ
SAN JUAN - Leonila Perez, 88, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at McAllen Heart Hospital.
Born in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Mrs. Perez had lived in San Juan for 60 years and was formerly of La Feria. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Estanislado "Lalo" Perez; a daughter, Victoria Franco; and her parents, Manuel and Maria Perez.
Mrs. Perez is survived by five children, Guadalupe Juarez, Maria P. (Baldemar) Munoz, both of Pharr, Jose Luis (Anna Maria) Perez, of Alamo, Enrique (Alicia) Perez, of McAllen, San Juanita (Miguel) Leal, of San Juan; a son-in-law, Rogelio Franco, of Pharr; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evangelina Harper, of McAllen.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, July 23, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am Saturday, July 24, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
