MARY ALICIA PEREZ McALLEN - Mary Alicia Perez, 44, died Monday, March 2, 2015, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in Baytown, she had lived in McAllen most of her life and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Manuel and Manuela Ortiz; aunt and uncle, Alejandrina and Emigdio Gomez. Mary is survived by her husband, Michael Cantu; her parents, Hector S. and Mary Perez, all of McAllen; three siblings, Hector Xavier Perez, Ayesha Wynn, both of McAllen, Debora Perez, of Midland; and her mother and father in-law, Hermelinda and Jose Candelario Cantu, of McAllen. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
