NOE O. PEREZ
EDINBURG – Noe O. Perez, 68, entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg after a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 2, 1941 at Los Angeles Ranch north of Edinburg. Noe served in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He served as a commissioner for the City of Edinburg in the early 1970’s and was the Chief Voter Administrator for the County of Hidalgo until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Leonor Perez, of San Manuel.
Mr. Perez is survived by his wife of 40 years, Graciela De Leon Perez; sons Noe O. Perez, Jr. and Rolando Perez; the love of his life, his granddaughter, Sofie and grandson, Lucas; his sisters, Olga (Juan) Mata, of Weslaco, Aida (Andres) Zamora, of Edinburg, Yolanda (Peter) Haring, of San Antonio; a brother, Joe Perez, of San Manuel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, March 14, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Monday, March 15, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at El Rucio Cemetery in Linn. Pallbearers will be Rodolfo Zamora, Tomas De Leon, Fernando De La Garza, Tomas Villarreal, Oscar Cantu and Arnoldo Olivarez. Honorary pallbearers are the veteran residents of Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home. Military honors will be conducted by Mid Valley Honor Guard.
Noe will always be remembered for his love of his family, his community and his ranch and horses.
