ONESIMO C. PEREZ
EDINBURG – Onesimo C. Perez, 78, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 22, 2009, at Bayshore Medical Center in Pasedena, Texas.
Mr. Perez was born in Edinburg and had lived there all of his life. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lisa Y. Perez; His parents, Fidel and Josefa Perez; four brothers, Leonzo, Gilberto, Alberto and Fidel Perez Jr; a sister, Virgina Villarreall.
Mr. Perez is survived by his wife, Belen C. Perez of Edinburg; four children, Arnaldo C. (Sara) Perez of Deer Park, Texas, Noe G. (Rosalva) Perez and Onesimo (Zelma) Perez both of La Porte, Texas and Velma Perez of Edinburg; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Abelardo Perez of Houston, Texas; and a sister, Eustorgia P. Mery of McAllen; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, June 25, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton, in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 101 of Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
