Elvira Perez Salinas

EDINBURG – On Saturday, November 4, 2017, Elvira Perez Salinas, 87, entered eternal rest in the kingdom of our Heavenly Father. She was surrounded lovingly by family who never left her bedside.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Singleterry Perez, her father Rumaldo Perez, husband Erasmo Salinas Sr., son Erasmo Salinas Jr.
Elvira was born November 29th, 1929 in Alamo, TX. At 20 years old, she married the love of her life, Erasmo Salinas. Together they had six children, +Erasmo Jr.(Sara) Salinas, Diana Salinas, Rosalinda Salinas, Mary Alice Salinas, Omar Salinas all of Edinburg and Esther (Mario) Salinas of Rio Grande City; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Elvira was very passionate and active in her church, as a Eucharist Minister. She was a homemaker who cared for her husband and loved ones. Her love and affection touched the lives of her loved ones.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
