SAN JUAN – Santos Perez Perez, 89, died Monday, October 17, 2011 at his residence in San Juan.
Mr. Perez was born in Juarez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and lived in the Rio Grande Valley most of his life.
He is preceded in death a son, Santos Perez Jr.; and his parents, Estanislao and Amada Perez.
Mr. Perez is survived by his wife, Lidia Perez, of San Juan; three children, Estanislao Perez, Amada “Amy” Palacios, Elva “Bercegeay” Cortez, all of Weslaco; 14 grandchildren; 25 great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held today, October 18, 2011, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
