TRINIDAD B. PEREZ
ALAMO – Trinidad B. Perez, 89, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Mrs. Perez was born in Guardado de Abajo, Tamaulipas, Mexico where she lived until she married Ignacio Perez, Sr. on December 25, 1939, then moved to Alamo where they resided for the rest of their lives. She was a devoted wife, excellent homemaker and loving mother to her family. She was a member of the Guadalupanas of which was then Our Lady of Fatima Church, now Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Perez, Sr.; a granddaughter, Rosalva Perez; a grandson, Alejos Villasenor, Jr.; and a brother, Manuel Barrera.
Mrs. Perez is survived by five sons, Ignacio (Gloria) Perez, Jr., Jose Rene (Elizabeth) Perez, Angel Mario (Dora) Perez, all of Alamo, Arnaldo (Maggie) Perez, of Edinburg, Wilberto (Angelica) Perez, of Pharr; three daughters, Olga Villasenor, of Alamo, Emma (Pete) Lerma, of Weslaco, Dr. Arminda (Dr. Richard Andrews) Perez, of Dallas, Texas; 25 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Candelaria Benitez, of Roma.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, April 27, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Pallbearers will be JR Lerma, Marc Anthony Rocha, Ignacio Perez, III, JJ Perez, Bobby Andrews and Rolando Perez.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
