Petra Carranza

Petra Carranza, 86, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at her residence in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Adalberto and Juanita Carranza; and seven siblings, Josefa Gomez, Olivia Carranza, Estanislao "Stanley" Carranza, Adalberto Carranza Jr., Elvira Tijerina, Eva Veliz, and Julian Carranza.
Miss Carranza is survived by three siblings, Eliza Carranza, Abel Carranza, and Jose Emilio Carranza; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday, September 22, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
