HARGILL – Eduardo “Pompi” Davila, 55, died Monday, November 21, 2016, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Hargill, Eduardo had lived there all of his life. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Eduardo had a passion for roosters, lifted trucks and he considered the ranch to be his life.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mariah Puga; his father, Pantaleon Davila; and two sisters, Amelia Davila and Alicia Davila.
Eduardo is survived by his wife, Diana Alfaro Davila of Hargill; four children, Eddie (Velia) Davila, Jr. of Hargill, Laura Ann (Carlos) Alfaro of California, Cassy (Liz) Davila, Jesse Ray Davila, both of Hargill; ten grandchildren, Joshua, Scott Andrew, Isaic, Devan, C.J. Leah, Sara, Zelia and Zoey; his mother, Elisa Davila of Hargill; seven siblings, Pantaleon (Josefina) Davila, Jr., Senovio Davila, Isabel “Joe” (Ruth) Davila, Jose Manuel Davila, Anita Davila, Alma (Osvaldo) Gomez, Aurora Davila; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Friday, November 25, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valle De La Paz Cemetery in Hargill.
