EDINBURG – Santos Prado, 86, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in San Diego, Mrs. Prado had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Mrs. Prado was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was always there for her family and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hipolito and Delfina Martinez; and five brothers.
Mrs. Prado is survived by her husband of 63 years, Encarnacion Prado; four daughters, Norma (+Juan) Leal, Nelda (Ramiro) Resendez, Lilia (+Manuel) Arebalo, Nora Garza, all of Edinburg; nine grandchildren, Isaac Leal, Orlando Arebalo, Amber Resendez, Briana Arebalo, Romeo J. Garza, III, Michael R. Garza, Matthew B. Garza, Marco A. Resendez; three great-grandchildren, Shawdee Leal, Skylan Leal, Maximus Alexander Flores; six brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 6, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. today, October 7, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
