MARIA INEZ PUENTE
PHARR – Maria Inez Puente, 95, died Saturday, December 5, 2009, at her residence in Pharr.
Mrs. Puente was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and had lived in Pharr most of her life. She was a member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Otilio Puente, Sr.; and a daughter, Maria Elena Saucedo.
Mrs. Puente is survived by a daughter, Maria Del Rosario (Javier) Martinez, of Pharr; two sons, Juan Puente, of Pharr, Otilio (Ana) Puente, Jr., of Houston; a son-in-law, Angel Saucedo, of San Juan; six grandchildren, Javier, Tina, Heron, Veronica, Angel and Albert; 11 great-grandchildren; her provider, Nora Villarreal, of San Juan; and other family members.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary Monday, December 7, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
