Antonio Ramirez

ANTONIO RAMIREZ EDINBURG - Antonio Ramirez, 86, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Mr. Ramirez had lived in Edinburg for the last seven years, and was formerly from Weslaco. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Elva Ramirez; and his parents, Tomas and Roberta Ramirez. Antonio is survived by four children, Antonio (Kathy) Ramirez, Jr. of Modesto, CA, Roberta "Betty" (Adan) Lara, Arnold (Clarissa) Ramirez, both of McAllen, and Anibal (Patricia) Ramirez of Edinburg; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Abelardo Ramirez, of Mier, Mexico; two sisters, Maria Dolores Garza of Houston, TX, and Sara Garcia of Roma; two nephews, Adalberto (Blanca) Ramirez, Felipe (Graciela) Ramirez, Jr., both of McAllen; and a niece, Diana Ramirez (Mateo) Vega of McAllen. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
