EDINBURG — Enrique Ramirez, 53, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at his residence in Edinburg.
Enrique Ramirez was raised in Soledad, California. Upon graduation, Enrique moved to the Rio Grande Valley where he met his wife, Teresa Lopez. They were blessed with two children, Melissa and Cristina. Enrique enjoyed racing, rock and roll, art, and spending time with his family and his beloved dog Teddy.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Evangelina Ramirez; and grandmother, Maria Hernandez.
Mr. Ramirez is survived by his wife, Teresa Ramirez of Edinburg; two daughters, Melissa Deanne Ramirez and Cristina Marie Ramirez, also of Edinburg; his beloved dog, Teddy; father, Mauro Ramirez of Monte Alto; step-mother, Manuela Ramirez, of Monte Alto; five sisters, Maria Elena Rotta of Harlingen, Juanita Molina of Monte Alto, Alicia Facundo of Alamo, Estela Sosa of Austin, and Laura Martinez of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Raul Ramirez of Edinburg, and Martin Ramirez of Monte Alto; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held today, October 13, 2011, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
