FRANCISCO RAMIREZ EDINBURG - Francisco Ramirez, 87, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at his residence in Edinburg. Born in Mexico, Mr. Ramirez had lived in Edinburg all of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Cruz Ramriez. Francisco is survived by his wife, Esperanza Ramirez of Edinburg; nine children, Jaime Ramirez, Elva (Robert) Aguilar, both of Walla Walla, WA, Frank (Linda) Ramirez Jr. of Seattle, WA, Sujey Ramirez of Edinburg, Roosvelt (Miroslava) Reyes of Donna, Maribel (Martin) Saldana of Rio Bravo, Tamps., MX, Homar (Monica) Ramirez of Brownsville, Lizbeth (Marcos) Gonzalez, Marithza (Salvador) Martinez, both of Edinburg; five grandchildren, Ayissa N. Ramirez, Marcus Gonzalez, JD Gonzalez, John A. Martinez, Kaylie Martinez, 12 more grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
