GILBERTO RAMIREZ
SAN J UAN – Gilberto Ramirez, 83, died Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Melida Ramirez.
Mr. Ramirez is survived by five children, Gilberto Eloy Ramirez of San Juan, Glendy Ogletree of McAllen, Margil Ponce (Bilma) Ramirez, Leroy Ramirez, Gilberto Ramirez, III, all of San Juan; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Raul Ramirez of Roma, TX.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, January 2, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 of McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
