Bernardo "Tito" Ramirez Iii

August 1, 1965 — January 12, 2021

Bernardo "Tito" Ramirez, III, beloved husband, father, and brother, passed on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at the age of 55. He was born on August 1, 1965, to Bernardo and Carmen Ramirez of Pharr, Texas. Tito was the youngest of six children and the only son. He was a proud graduate of PSJA High School and received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from the University of Texas Pan American. Tito began his career as a Farmers Insurance Agent in 1987, and after thirty years, transitioned his company into an independent insurance agency. His company and real estate holdings flourished because of his hard work, charisma, and dedication to serving the community he loved.
Tito married his high school sweetheart, Corina Farias Ramirez, in November of 1989. Tito and Corina were proud to raise their sons Trey Bernard and Bryan Thomas in Pharr. He cherished fatherhood and, with faith and love, guided his sons to be the strong, young, professional men they are today. Tito's loving wife and accomplished sons were his pride and joy.
Tito was a lifelong Catholic and devoted parishioner at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. He served on the Pharr Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was honored as Businessman of the Year. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Pharr Boys & Girls Club and the United Way, and volunteered as a coach for the Pharr Youth Baseball League, the American Legion Baseball League, and the San Juan Parks and Recreation Youth Football League. He proudly hosted the family Christmas Eve party every year, welcoming his extended family into his home with his friendly and generous spirit. He loved to travel with his wife, spend summer weekends with his family at South Padre Island, loved to fish and BBQ, was an avid reader, and supported the University of Texas Longhorns, the Tennessee Volunteers, and his beloved Dallas Cowboys. His loved ones could always count on him to give caring, practical advice with an easy smile and open heart. He was adored as a husband, father, brother, uncle, neighbor, and friend, and he will be dearly missed.
Tito was preceded in death by his parents, Bernardo and Carmen Ramirez, and his father-in-law, Zeferino Farias, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife, Corina, and sons, Trey and Bryan, and his five beloved sisters and their spouses: Cris (Jaime) Sandoval, Corina (David) Cardoza, Cynthia (Homer) Gallegos, and Sandra (Rey) Guerra of McAllen, Texas; and Belinda Villarreal of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Odilia Canche Farias and brother-in-law, Zeferino (Diamondtina) Farias, Jr. of Alamo, Texas, and his sister-in-law, Romelia Farias (Steve) Molina of McAllen, Texas.
"Truly, truly I say to you, he who hears my word and believes Him who sent me, has eternal life; he does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life." John 5:24.
