IRMA S. RAMIREZ SAN JUAN – Irma S. Ramirez, 77, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at McAllen Medical Center. Born in Fronton, TX, Mrs. Ramirez had lived in San Juan all of her life. Irma is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Benita Sandoval; two sisters, Oralia Sandoval and Tomasa Martinez; two brothers, Cesar and Roel Sandoval; and one grandchild, Ron Ramirez. She is survived by her husband, Gilberto Ramirez of San Juan; 11 children, Rene Sergio (Irma) Ramirez of San Juan, Nora E. (Jose Santos) Moreno of Pharr, Gilberto (Teresa) Ramirez, Jr., Felipe (Maria) Ramirez, both of San Juan, Dora Diana (Federico) Guerra, Mario Jaime (Alicia) Ramirez, both of McAllen, Benita (Teodoro) Salazar of Edinburg, Javier (Gloria) Ramirez, Orlando (Anita) Ramirez, both of San Juan, Estela (Juan) Rangel and Julissa (Jose) Cantu, both of Pharr; 45 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Aida S. Martinez of San Antonio, TX. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, August 2, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
