JUANITA B. RAMIREZ
ALAMO / ELSA - Juanita B. Ramirez, 83, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at McAllen Medical Center.
Born in Jalisco, Mexico, Mrs. Ramirez had lived in Alamo since 1980. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Socorro Barba; her parents, Andres and Rosa Barba; and a sister, Paulina Barba.
Mrs. Ramirez is survived by six children, Irma (Ricardo) Chavez of Alamo, Hilda Ramirez of College Station, Texas, Victor (Irma) Ramirez, Jr., Bobby (Diana L.) Ramirez, Celia (James Krystyniak) Ramirez, all of Houston, Texas and Diana (Jose Arvizu) Rendon of Fresno, California; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Andres Barba and Exiquio Barba, both of Mexico.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Monday, December 28, 2009 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
