PHARR - Melissa Ann Ramirez, 47, died Monday, August 30, 2010, at her residence in Pharr.
Born in San Juan and formerly of Mission, she had lived in Pharr since 2004.
Mrs. Ramirez is survived by her husband, Marcos Ramos Ramirez, Jr., Ret. US Army; two children; Kristen Nicole Loredo and Ryan Nicholas Loredo; her parents, Erasmo and Cheney Martinez; and a brother, Roel Erasmo Martinez, all of Pharr; and four sisters, Dory (Ricardo) Rodriguez, of San Juan, Velma Lee (Roberto) Ruiz, of Pharr, Yolanda (Jesus) Ramirez, of Seguin, Texas and Chris Elaine (Ryan) Abbott, of Austin, Texas.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2010, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Pharr. Pallbearers will be Roel E. Martinez, Rick Rodriguez, Ryann Abbott, Roy Ibanez, Eddie Enriquez and Frankie Cerda. Honorary pallbearer will be Jesse Ramirez.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
