EDINBURG – Paulina Ramirez Moncada, 48, went home to our Lord Saturday, July 14, 2018, at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Shoreline in Corpus Christi.
Born in Chicago, IL, she was raised in Edinburg. Paulina was a teacher at Galvan Elementary, a devoted advocate of bilingual children’s education, and a special education counselor.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Manuelita Davila.
Ms. Moncada is survived by her two sons, Lauro Ruben Moncada, Jr., Christian Librado “Libber” Moncada, both of Bishop, TX; her parents, Pablo C. Ramirez of San Luis, Potossi, Maria Antonia Ramirez of Burgos, Tamps.; three siblings, Francisco Javier Ramirez of Dallas, Maria “Chacha” Ramirez Ramsey of Marina Del Rey, CA, and Bernabe “Bernie” Ramirez of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, July 16, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Pallbearers will be Francisco Ramirez, Bernabe Ramirez, Ruben Moncada, Elmer Gonzalez, Bernabe Ramirez, Jr., and George Garcia.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
