SAN JUAN - Paula S. Ramirez, 60, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in Brownsville, Mrs. Ramirez had lived in San Juan most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Monserat Solis.
Mrs. Ramirez is survived by her husband, Jose Ramirez, Jr., of San Juan; a son, Jose Daniel (Ramona) Solis, of Edinburg; two daughters, Maria Del Carmen (Jesus) Picazo, of Alamo, Mary Isabel (Michael) Meave, of Edinburg; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Jose Solis, of Alamo; and three sisters, Prudencia Castillo and Clara Quintero, both of San Antonio, Texas and Lydia Solis, of Florida.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service today, April 27, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Un Encuentro Con Cristo Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
