Paulino Ramirez Sr.

PAULINO RAMIREZ, SR. PHARR - Paulino Ramirez Sr., 88, died Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He was born to Bernabe and Santos Ramirez on January 2, 1925 in McAllen and had lived in Pharr most of his life. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Norma Ramirez; a sister, Teodora Sanchez; a brother, Guadalupe Ramirez; and his mother-in-law, Maria F. Ysaguirre. Mr. Ramirez is survived by his wife, Aurelia Y. Ramirez; five children, Paulino (Blanca) Ramirez Jr., of Pharr, Bernabe (Rosie) Ramirez, of McAllen, Nelda (Ruben Sr.) Guajardo, of San Juan, Blanca (Eleazar) Zuniga and Rene (Laura) Ramirez, both of Pharr; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ernesto Ramirez, of Pharr. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
