TRINIDAD RAMIREZ McALLEN – Trinidad Ramirez, 94, died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Amara Hospice Inpatient Facility in Edinburg. She was born in El Rancho Magueras in Nuevo Leon. Mrs. Ramirez and her husband came from El Rancho Magueras in 1942. Having lived in Mission, they moved to McAllen in 1950, where she was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Avalos Ramirez; her parents, Arcadio Moreno and Francisca Gonzalez; four sisters, Mercedes Quesada, Victoriana Ramirez, Marta Gonzalez Moreno, Elena Gonzalez Gonzalez; and two brothers, Francisco Moreno and Gregorio Moreno. Mrs. Ramirez is survived by five children, Juan (†Martina) Ramirez, David (Maria Del Socorro) Ramirez, Orlando (Norma) Ramirez, all of Mission, Maria Teresa Ramirez, Jose Miguel Ramirez, both of McAllen; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Maria Gonzalez Moreno and Elvira Gonzalez Moreno, both of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. The family would like to thank Amara Hospice for their kind services and caring for the needs of Mrs. Ramirez Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
