ESTANISLAO RAMOS Estanislao Ramos, 77, graduated into the presence of the Lord May 12, 2015. Born in Mexico, Mr. Ramos had lived in Peñitas most of his life. Pastor Estanislao Ramos served as a minister of the Texas Gulf Hispanic District and continued his ministry of the word at several adult day care centers in the Mid Valley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anselmo and Nicolasa Ramos. Mr. Ramos is survived by his wife, Elida Ramos ; five sons, Anselmo (Dora) Ramos, Abel (Sandra) Ramos, both of Rio Grande; Pedro (Lucila) Ramos, Juan (Verenicia) Ramos, Osiel Ramos, all of Peñitas; four daughters, Maria T. Ramos of Roma, Nicolasa (Efrain) Corona of Corpus Christi, Ana (Hector) Soto of Edinburg, Damaris (Hector) Garcia of Peñitas; 24 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
