Ester A. Ramos

ESTER A. RAMOS PHARR – Ester A. Ramos 82, died Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in Mission, she had lived in Pharr all of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Ramos, Sr.; and her parents, Maria Elijia and Manuel Acevedo. Mrs. Ramos is survived by nine children, Juanita (Israel) Izaguirre of Richmond, TX, Francisco (Estela) Ramos, Jr. of Needville, TX, Joel (Irma Z.) Ramos, Norma (Ruben) Pequeno, Irma Ramos, Elizabeth Ramos, Ysenia (Rene) Villarreal, all of Pharr, Yolanda (Lino) Torres, of Rosenberg, TX, Javier (Norma) Ramos of San Juan; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maria Herrera, Linda (Daniel) Villarreal; and a brother, Elias (Linda) Acevedo. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
