OTILIA O. RAMOS
SAN JUAN/PHARR - Otilia O. Ramos, 89, was born on June 2, 1921 in Granjeno, Texas to Cruz and Teodora Oviedo. She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 2, 2010.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Antonio Ramos, Sr. and by her daughter-in-law, Lily Ramos and son-in-law, Ricardo Falcon, Sr., a granddaughter, Valerie Ramos, a brother, Luciano Oviedo and sisters, Jovita Rodriguez and Olivia Hernandez.
Mrs. Ramos is survived by her children, Gloria (Reyes) Saenz, Hipolito (Aracelia) Ramos, Maria (Adolfo) Medrano, Rosie Falcon, Ricardo (Dora) Ramos, Antonio (Leticia) Ramos, Jr., Berta (Alejandro) Medrano, Emigdalia "Lolly" (Romeo) Luna, Norma (Rodolfo) Martinez and Teodora Ramos; 34 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Octavia Rodriguez; and a brother, Roman Oviedo.
Otilia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the heart of her family and a beautiful model of humility and faithfulness to Christ. Her loved ones are saddened by her departure but rejoice in the hope of eternal life when we will once again be reunited with her in the Lord. To all who are blessed with the grace of final perseverance, the Lord says, "be faithful unto death and I will give you the crown of life." Revelation 2:10b
A rosary was held Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 12 noon, today, June 4, 2010 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Pharr, Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Pallbearers will be Reyes Saenz, Jr., Adolfo Medrano, Jr., Ricardo Falcon, Jr., Angel Cruz Ramos, Rodrigo Martinez, Antonio Ramos III and Romeo Luna, Jr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
