Angelita Ramos Ramirez

EDINBURG – Angelita Ramos Ramirez, 89, passed away surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Monday, May 8, 2017, at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in San Benito, Angelita had lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus B. Ramirez; and a daughter Consuelo Leija Fairas.
Angelita is survived by a son, Ruben Ramirez of McAllen; three daughters, Santa Limas Tijerina, Guadalupe Limas, Rita R. Ramirez, all of Edinburg; five grandchildren, Yolanda Yanez Zuniga, Arturo Tijerina, Jr., both of Edinburg, Gloria Tijerina Cantu of McAllen, Claudia Farias of Edinburg, Nicolas Ramirez of Austin; and numerous grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
