MESQUITE/EDINBURG — Josefina “Jo” A. Garza, 80, died on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Mrs. Garza was born in Edinburg and has lived there most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Atanacio and Evarista Alfaro.
Mrs. Garza is survived by five children, Yolanda Luna of Houston, Texas, Gilberto (Olga) Garza Jr. of Edinburg, Atanacio (Diane) Garza of Deer Park, Texas, Juanita Tovar of Wylie, Texas and Diana (Adolfo) Rangel of Mesquite, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ruben Alfaro of Edinburg; three sisters, Epifania Garcia of Harlingen, Consuelo Robledo of Edinburg and Raquel Monroy of Mesqutie, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, June 15, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
