Eloisa R. Rangel

ELOISA R. RANGEL PHARR - Eloisa R. Rangel, 60, died Sunday, September 1, 2013, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Born in Robstown, TX, Mrs. Rangel had lived in Pharr most of her life. Eloisa was like the pillar of the family, always offering support to all her loved ones as well as her neighbors. One of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo. In 2012 Eloisa won her fight against cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerardo Rangel, Sr.; two siblings, Maria Esperanza Contreras and Antonio Ruiz. Eloisa is survived by three children, Gerardo Rangel, Jr., Vanessa Rangel, Gilbert Rangel, all of San Juan; four grandchildren, Mark Anthony Rangel, Ray Nathan Rangel, Gerardo Rangel, III, Isaiah Matthew Rangel, all of San Juan; eight siblings, Francisca Gomez, Diana Gomez, of Grand Prairie, TX, Lydia Flores, Julian Ruiz, of Arlington, TX, Esther Deninger of Midland, TX, Martin Ruiz of Idaho, Juana Solis of San Juan, Leonardo Ruiz of San Antonio; two brothers-in-law, Juan Luis (Juanita) Rangel and Rodolfo Rangel, both of Mission; two sisters-in-law, Maria Del Socorro Ortega and Maria De La Luz Salazar, both of Mission. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, September 4, 2013 and Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2013, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
