Pharr- Raquel Salinas, 84, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at her residence in Pharr.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joaquin and Regina Barrera; a son, Raul Eduardo Salinas; one sister and two brothers.
Raquel is survived by her husband, Manuel Raul Salinas Jr.; four children, Emilia Salinas, Manuel Ricardo (Norma) Salinas, Debbie Salinas and Lori (Eddie) Suarez; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Florencio Barrera and Linda (Pete) Martinez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon. Monday, February 24, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
